New audio could help Mel`s case
MEL GIBSON`S luck could be on the up.
The troubled actor has had a hell of a year after falling out with the mother of his child OKSANA GRIGORIEVA.
The Russian model has been battling Gibson for custody of their child and released audio tapes of the Aussie-born actor`s maniacal rants at her.
She also claimed the actor broke her teeth when he hit her during an argument.
However VIOLET KOWAL, the Polish porn star who claimed she had an affair with Gibson while Grigorieva was pregnant, says she has tapes that may help his case.
Kowal, 26, has spoken to the Los Angeles County Sheriff`s Department, alleging that a bodyguard representing Grigorieva attempted to bribe her to provide evidence against the Lethal Weapon star.
The man then made threats against Kowal and her bodyguard, Nikko, if the pair didn`t cooperate, it is being claimed.
This latest twist in the Gibson-Grigorieva scandal followed a secret meeting that took place last month between Kowal and Gibson`s criminal defense attorney Blair Berk.
A source told Radaronline: "At that meeting, Violet played Mel`s lawyers a series of taped audio recordings which show how a bodyguard, who identified himself as working for Oksana, made advances to them.
"The bodyguard offered personal, financial and legal assistance on behalf of Oksana and her team in exchange for information on Mel, from Violet.
"The man claimed Oksana would soon be worth millions of dollars, and it was worth having her on your side."
Oddly, Kowal has also claimed that Gibson`s bodyguard warned her off, telling her to disappear for a while.
Kowal claimed she had a steamy three-month love affair with Gibson around the same time as the Oscar winning actor/director`s now infamous fallout with Grigorieva.
